I have run battle net as an administrator every time it starts. Start download update During download, go to settings 2.Game installation/update, then scroll down to network options, change speed limits to 500kbs and hit OK Pause download now, after pause download follow before steps and change again speed limits to 0kbs, hit OK and resume update. I have tried with network bandwidth limits in battle net both at 0 (unlimited) and something very high (99999).

I have tried to install the games on different harddrives, both the default C:\Program Files (x86) and another secondary drive. I have tried the “Destiny 2” trick where you rename/move game folder, install from scratch and before you click OK you move it back. I have set “Secondary Log-on” service to Automatic. I have unchecked “automatically detect settings” in LAN settings in internet options. I have both turned off Win Defender and made exceptions for Bnet and Agent. I have opened and forwarded all relevant ports ports in my router. I have tried to pause/resume the updates. I have tried to repair the games from battle net. I have tried to downgrade my network drives (they are already the latest version). I have tried to connect my computer directly into the modem. I have tried to leave the download running for over 10 hours once download speed has slowed down. Make sure to click on the Run this program as an administrator checkbox.

The download speed starts out at maximum but then always slows down at the same place, when WoW has downloaded about 35 GB and when D3 has downloaded about 6 GB.Īll other internet related activity works fine. It’s not about me being impatient while files are being installed either as even leaving it on for ~14 hours overnight gave me zero progress on the installation/download. Also, the download rate is not capped in the app download settings. When installing and downloading, the download start out fast, maxing out my connection (100 Mbps) but eventually the download speed suddenly slows down to around 0-50 KB/s. I decided to stop the download and try downloading something on steam to see if it was actually the app causing the problem, and i instantly get 43 MB/s downloading a game, then go back to app, and its at 3 MB/s. I’ve been trying to reinstall WoW and D3 for over a week now without any successs.
